Help us welcome our newest downtown business to the Chamber family! Tethered has transformed a cozy space in our downtown strip into a beautiful, upscale cocktail and dessert lounge. Their menu features carefully curated cocktails with creative twists on the classics, handcrafted charcuterie boards highlighting seasonal flavors, and fun, indulgent desserts – making it a great spot for a date night, girls’ night, celebration, or simply an evening out. But Tethered’s story actually began on the road.
The family behind Tethered first entered the industry with Wandering Tavern, their mobile bar business. For years, opening a brick-and-mortar location was something they joked about but never quite took the leap to pursue. Then an opportunity in Winterville came along that was simply too good to pass up. With deep family roots in the community, Winterville felt like exactly the right place to bring the idea to life. Today, Tethered is truly a family affair. Everyone has a role to play – whether it’s marketing, bartending, management, offering ideas, or simply serving as a trusted sounding board. That family-centered approach carries over into their vision for the business, too. Creating a place that feels connected to the community has been important from the beginning, and they’re continuing to find new ways to bring people together.
Tethered has leaned into offering experiences like murder mystery dinners, bourbon and cheesecake tastings, community leader nights, and other creative ticketed events. And they’re just getting started! More events and new ideas are in the works as the family continues to grow the business and explore what they can bring to Downtown Winterville. Be sure to follow Tethered on social media for upcoming event announcements – and move quickly when tickets go on sale. Their special events have a habit of selling out! We’re excited to officially welcome Tethered to the Winterville Chamber and even more excited to celebrate with them this December, when we’ll host their ribbon cutting in conjunction with their one-year anniversary. Stay tuned!
