For Denise Johnson, the most important part of her work is simple. Making sure people do not feel overwhelmed when it comes to their health and life insurance decisions. As the owner of Eastern Health & Life Insurance Services, Denise works one-on-one with individuals to guide them through Medicare and other insurance options with a highly personalized approach. As an independent agent, she has access to a wide range of providers, allowing her to match each client with a plan that truly fits their needs. Whether someone is approaching Medicare eligibility or exploring coverage options earlier in life, Denise focuses on helping them avoid costly mistakes and feel confident in their choices.
Originally from eastern North Carolina, Denise’s career path has been shaped by both experience and a desire to help others. She began her professional journey in banking before transitioning into health insurance in 2011. After spending several years in Virginia, she returned to North Carolina in 2018, bringing with her a strong understanding of the industry and a people-first mindset.
What makes Denise stand out is the way she approaches relationships. Her work does not end once a plan is selected. She stays connected with her clients, offering continued support, answering questions, and helping them adjust as their needs change. She has also built a network of agents across eastern North Carolina, making sure each person she works with is connected to the right support for their situation.
Denise is especially passionate about education. With so many moving parts in Medicare and frequent changes in the industry, she understands how confusing the process can be. She takes pride in breaking things down clearly and helping clients cut through misinformation so they can make informed decisions with confidence.
Outside of her business, Denise values staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and scuba diving, bringing the same energy and enthusiasm to her personal life that she brings to her work.
