We celebrated the completion of our first Building Resilient Entrepreneurs (BREW) Program with a Grad Finale sponsored by Pitt Community College and hosted at their Eddie & Jo Allison Smith Center for Student Advancement on August 4th. We proudly celebrated the graduates from our program, and, thanks to a grant from Southern Bank Foundation, hosted a pitch competition in order to judge the top 3 to go home with funding to help them launch their businesses.
There are so many that helped make this program a success. The mentors and speakers who donated so much of their time, the contributors that helped us support the program, and the committee members who helped shape it. Please take note of the slides noting the names of those that went above and beyond to support these new entrepreneurs. An extra big thank you to the Town of Winterville’s Economic Development Planner, Tristyn Daughtry and the Small Business Center at Pitt Community College’s Director, Halle Nobles, for being wonderful partners on this program, Pitt Community College for sponsoring this event, Southern Bank Foundation for granting us the funds to enable the pitch competition, and Chick-fil-a & Marabella of Winterville for supporting the program classes.
Our heartfelt congratulations goes to our hardworking graduates: Nicole Weston, Logann Miller, Bradley Whiting, Richie Shreves, Candice Borunda, Zahna Williams, and Oyinlola Babatunde.
