Debbie Avery / Executive Director

Debbie Avery serves as the Executive Director of the Winterville Chamber of Commerce.  She is a busy woman.  On any given day you will find her darting from one business to another, to the Post Office, into the Town Hall and so on.  After thirty years of teaching eighth graders, she decided to launch her second career of taking care of the Chamber.  She enjoys helping the businesses of Winterville and making her community a better place to live.  Visit her at the Chamber office located at the Winterville Town's Operation Center (2936 Church Street). Alton Wadford - President

Alton Wadford is the Director of High School Programs at Pitt Community college. He has lived in the Greenville area his whole life, and in Winterville for 35 years. He has been involved in the Winterville Watermelon Festival almost as long, and is now acting as the Chairman for the Festival. You can contact Alton at 252.493.7745 or at

Rebecca Caveness - Vice President

Rebecca Caveness is the owner of Caveness Decor as an Interior Decorator servicing Pitt County. She’s lived in the Winterville/Greenville area her whole life, growing up in her parents’ local business. She is the Parade Chairman for the Winterville Watermelon Festival. Glenda White - Treasurer

Glenda White is the Assistant Vice President & Assistant Branch Manager at First Bank. She is a native of Blackjack and now lives in Greenville. Brad Guth - Chairman of the Board

Brad Guth is a Broker|Realtor associated with EXP Realty. He started his real estate business after working in local economic development for 20+ years. He is originally from Greenville, SC and has moved around a bit through the years, ending up in Winterville just a few years ago. Ronita Stanford - Board Member

Ronita Stanford is the owner of Tru Image Hair salon as a Master Stylist and Hair Doctor. She’s also the co-owner of Botanical Essence Hemp ENC. She started a program providing hair for kids going back to school called Caring for our Community, is a part of the American Cancer Society and is heavily involved in outreach programs in our school system. Saul Horowitz - Board Member

Saul Horowitz is a State Farm Agent and owner of Horowitz Insurance and Financial services in Winterville. He and his family moved from Upstate NY after falling in love with the local community while visiting ENC.  Saul is very active in the local community and an active member of the Winterville Civitan Club, Rotary club, program chair at Congregation Bayt Shalom, and is part of the Winterville Watermelon Festival planning committee.
