Our newest member is our local State Employee’s Credit Union. Vice President and City Executive of Winterville’s branch, Kara Holland has a clear belief in what their financial institution does to support their members. A credit union is different from a bank in that each member is an owner in the institution and receives many benefits as such. Their loan and mortgage officers are salary based, not commission, so their most important goal is to serve their members in the best way possible – even if that means telling them a better deal could be found elsewhere. The SECU in Winterville is looking forward to becoming an even stronger part of our community and our Chamber! Learn more about what they do here and consider donating to their Toy Drive for the Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health by dropping off toys before December 15th.
