2021 Thanksgiving Meal Initiative

by | Dec 1, 2021 | Community, Events, Programs & Initiatives

On November 22nd, the Chamber executed our Thanksgiving Meal Initiative for the second year in a row. With the help of an incredible membership and an amazing community we were able to feed 82 families for Thanksgiving this year! Words can’t express how important this is to us, and how thankful we are for the help we received in making this possible. We purchased these meals from Publix, had a pie donated by Sam’s Club to go with every meal, and the Winterville Historical and Arts Society allowed us to use the Train Depot to set them all up and be ready for pick up.

This was an amazing day of the community coming together that was made possible because of our generous members and the community partners that assisted us in finding those that were in need this year; our area social workers: Kim and Tammy, Daughters of Worth, Building Hope, Center for Family Violence Prevention, and Julia’s Well. We appreciate you all!
