It was a very exciting Halloween this year with putting together our first ever Winterville Chamber Fright Walk. We have such a wonderful downtown area, so being able to utilize this space in a way that brings together the community and draws attention to these businesses brings a lot of joy! We had many Chamber businesses come out to host booths, the Town brought together various departments to pass out candy, and a great time was had by everyone involved!
One of my favorite things we put together was a beautiful raffle basket that so many of our businesses donated to. I was blown away by the amount of support we received for this, and can’t thank you all enough for your help. A big thanks to Beacon Dental, Chick-fil-A of Winterville, E & S Hemp Company, Edward Jones-Financial Advisor: Joe Chrobak, First Citizens Bank of Winterville, Full Service Flooring, Local Oak Brewing Co., McCabe’s Costumes, Nauti Dog Brewing Co., PostalAnnex, Nephew Wally presents Uncle Dave’s Kettle Korn, and Winterville Flower Shop for your donations!
We also hosted a contest for the most well-decorated pumpkin. Competitors brought their decorated pumpkins from home and one lucky winner took home a gift basket from Moore’s Olde Tyme BBQ in Winterville!
Plans are already in the works for next year, so keep it in mind when making your Halloween plans! I hope we can have more businesses participating to make it an even more exciting event for our community.
